This tip comes from my friend Barkha and so far it has worked wonders on my baby.
Here is what you need:
- Whole Nutmeg (Hindi Name: Jaiphal)
- 0.5 ml Gripe Water/Warm Water (I personally prefer Gripe Water as I don't feel comfortable giving water to an infant)
- Marble Slab or Stone (Same Stone as the one we use to rub sandalwood)
Instructions
- Clean the Marble slab or Stone very well with water
- Wash the nutmeg well
- Add Gripe Water to the Stone and rub the nutmeg on it. You will need to rub the nutmeg about 5 to 6 times till you see the water turn into a brownish color.
- Take the mixture (colored water) in a small dropper or spoon and give it to your baby
I have tried this tip a couple of times when I feel there is an onset of a cold and within a couple of hours of giving this to her she no longer has it.
Hope you all find this tip as useful as I did
Daughter, Sister, Wife, Friend...I have played several roles in my lifetime so far, but in 2009 I added in my opinion one of the most important roles of my life...BEING A MOM
I am a mom to a beautiful baby girl. Although I knew essaying a role of a mother is not easy I was unprepared of how time consuming this wonderful and fulfilling job is.Along the way, I learnt several tricks and tips to make my life slightly easier. I gained alot of my knowledge from my parents, friends, websites and some by just experiencing them. It is my hope that via this blog I not only share some of my knowledge but also gain alot of knowledge from others as I am quite certain what I know is just the tip of the iceberg.
So here we go....
